MODAL Whistle Keys and prices

This instrument was designed in cooperation between Steafan Hannigan and myself. Steafan brought forward this great idea in 2000 and since that time I have been making them. The Soprano D/C will play like a normal high D with an extra two holes for the Fnat and bottom C played by the thumb and the little finger. To make one for you I need to know if you play left or right handed.

This is a whistle I also make on request. It plays like a normal high D with an extra hole for the bottom C played by the little finger. This can be helpful for tunes that need the C below bottom D. To make one for you I also need to know if you play left or right handed.

If there is a special combination of whistle key plus additional notes you are interested in, please ask, I am always open for new fingerings or experiments. Some videos assorted by key you can find in this page as well as videos and sound samples of instruments made by myself in the player's profiles.

There can be a waiting time involved, this varies depending on the models you are looking for. The average waiting time at the moment is 6 weeks but for some keys can be sooner or later.

Please note: I do work with shops so most of the keys you can buy also in your local music store, if they work with me. The Bass and Bass Baritone Whistles you can only order directly via me, I do not send these out to shops as I find these keys need such a special attention that working with the player is essential.

Additional to the listed prices of the instruments is the actual costs of postage. I can ship worldwide. The postage cost is about € 8 inside Germany and outside Germany varies depending on the receiver's country, weight and value of the parcel. To give you an idea an average costs for shipments inside the European Union are about € 22 to the Americas about € 32 and Asia/Australia about € 35.

All Goldie whistles are supplied with a black padded case. (see photo in the Accessories section)

Customers inside the EU will be charged prices which include 19% VAT.

All whistles I made, including those under the Overton brand name, are covered by a limited lifetimie warranty to the original owner. This provides for repair or replacement in the case of defective materials or workmanship. Damage caused by abuse or misuse of the instrument is not covered. Any unauthorized repairs or modifications render the limited lifetime warranty void.

Whistles that are returned (with copy of the original invoice) will be either repaired or replaced at my discretion. If your whistle problem is not covered by the warranty, please do contact me anyway as I still may be able to help out in some way.
